While the capability was there for this to be a new saga in the world of MMO racing games, it just doesn’t do the things necessary to be able to take off. Rather, it feels very limited by some important physics issues, bug issues, server issues, and the things that there are to do throughout the world. When you get down to the nitty-gritty, Test Drive Unlimited 2 doesn’t feel unlimited. For a persistently online game, that is a tough pill to swallow, and the developers should have made sure it was working before making the game available to players. There were issues, too, though, on the servers that made it difficult, and sometimes impossible, to play online. None of it was impossible to deal with, it was just annoying. There were also a few issues with bugs, such as dropping off the road into the ocean when the water hundreds of feet away and environments just kind of popping in when driving about the city.

Unfortunately, as you unlock new cars and more of the city, you’ll find the racing controls are not equivalent to these powerful racing machines that you are supposed to be controlling. As you play through the game, you’ll improve statistics that will lead to better upgrades for your rides, and other bonuses. You can also help random individuals for money, and communicate with and race other players who are driving around the island. There are plenty of places around to buy new cars, and customize the ones you have. One thing you can do is drive anywhere you want on the island. There is some stuff going on around the island other than racing. If you can get her across town, she’ll enter you in Solar Crown, which is a racing competition that takes place on the beautiful island of Ibiza. On your way out, the girl who got you fired hires you herself. The game starts with you as a valet who’s just been fired for sleeping on the job.
